I always hear people Deride some Countries leadership, but rarely do I hear someone offer a shining example of good solid leadership In their own Country. Could you fill us in on who should be running the world. Some examples of their ability would also be nice.

Nelson Mandela.
That man has his shit together.
That man has his shit together.
Yeah thats because he's actually changing stuff. And radically, too. Not saying I support what he's doing, but that's probably why ppl dont like himcyborg_ninja-117 wrote:

I don't want to bust your bubble, guys, but Mandela isn't president of south africa any more ( since 1999 ).Spark wrote:

Current great leader ?......maybe...shit, the best are all dead : Churchill, Roosevelt, De Gaulle, Gandhi, for Russia I hesitate (Lenine or Khrouchtchev ?)......
Id say Gorbachev, he's a radical and clearly proved that he cared for peoples standards of living with "glasnost".
Lenin?!? Are you nuts? I wouldn't consider killing tens of thousands of your people as being a great leader.
Besides, let's stick to the topic. Everyone on your list has been dead for decades (except Kruschev).

difficult to say. every nation's background is different, each has different economies, neighbours, value systems, regional conflicts, etc..
accordingly, each President's job is quite different.
for example, as far as I know, the US had its first budget surplus in a long time at the and of the clinton presidency. Bush could have spent all that money on health care, or funding public schools, you know, stuff for his people.
maybe we can discuss the "performance" of several world leaders individually. I don't think a comparison is useful here.

id say the current President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. He finally got that civil war in Atjeh over and it lasted for many many years
There will never be a leader worth having as head of the entire planet, I'm surprised we are able to survive with leaders of entire COUNTRIES =/
For the US I would say Colin Powel and John McCain. Both have served in the military and have shown the ability to work with a group of people to come to a compromise, rather than follow the extremes fringes of either party. I guess they basically have a more moderate disposition.
I was talking about Howard, fool!B.Schuss wrote:
