When I think about it, I'd say so...though I've already spent $80 now on stuff for FO3 (Collector's Edition and DLC).

So for casual gamers, the answer is... no?

I'd gladly pay $10 for all 3 packs, but not $30 for a couple extra bonus missions. That's basically an entirely new game.

It depends on how you look at it. On one hand, you could look at it as 4-5 hours of gameplay and a whole bunch of weapons to take into the regular game for $10...on the other hand, you could look at it as a "$10 Quest" (even though it's 4 quests).

I say go for it. I think The Pitt/Broken steel might provide more hours of gameplay, but it's just a really good DLC pack if you've got the money to burn. If you're short on cash though, I'm not sure if you should get it. Your choice, man. I say it's worth it though.

I really want to play all of the DLC, but I am also short on cash. Not to mention I still have to buy the actual game first, too. I'm probably gonna wait until summer, when I have a job and the time, then just buy it all in one fell swoop.

The US assault rifle isn't too bad, especially in 100% condition as they give it to you. I actually found it to be pretty good.

and for anchorage if you want more guns from the quarter master, pick a package from the termanal talk to him drop the stuff he gives you on the ground back to the terminal request new kit then repeat the other steps.

edit
it was extremely short took me two hours to beat the entire thing

my review of operation anchorage : 6/10

was pretty fun doing all the stuff but it was pretty damn short.  and come on now, we can get winterized t-51b armor but not winterized combat armor in the real world?  gotta admit though, the Chinese stealth suit is badass (especially with the glitch...lol )

is it worth 10 bucks?  That depends on how much you love Fallout 3 and how much money you have to spend I guess.  I'm obssessed with it so even though I was a tad bit disappointed I still thoroughly enjoyed it...

I'd put it higher than that. I'd say 8/10. It apparentely got rated pretty high by some people though, so I dunno.

What glitch?

And I don't need combat armor in the Wasteland...you get Power Armor Training through O:A, so anyone can use the T-51B after.

Hopefully The Pitt's a bit longer...and it probably will be since it's a whole new map (accessed via magically still existing railway) apparentely.

1 - well if it were maybe 2 hours longer I'd give it an 8/10.  Just seemed a little too run n gun linear kind of stuff, combined with the short length, meh, it was fun but was disappointed.  its only one little section in a huge ass game and I have money to burn so no biggie

2 - when you have the chinese stealth armor equipped you can equip as many helmets/headgear as you want (I got ladeauxs hockey mask, metal helmet, combat helmet, lucky's shades, poplar's hood all on at one time... lol)

3 - I hate power armor.  Cant fucking stand it at all.  Dont know why.  Just not my thing really.  I usually just go with combat armor, or the vance's longcoat outfit.  but still.  I'd have liked to get a combat helmet with a mask and goggles.  That'd be so cool.

4 - I hope the Pitt has more options really (supposedly good and evil people you can side with?)... the length on anchorage was a downer but to me it also seemed too linear and not as open ended as the base content.. but meh whatever I got my stealth suit and the Chinese generals sword.  w00t

I found the DLC to be quite disappointing.

Firstly is all the restrictions that you have when your in the sim-world. You can only get health and ammo from those dispensers, and you cannot pick up weapons from defeated enemies.

Secondly is the brevity of it, it was just too damn short. While it's not so much the length of the missions, as the missions are of good length, it's that you are forced to do them one after the other, you really can't explore.

Third is that Alaska is just like the Wasteland but with snow. I thought a change of environment would be great, but the environment is just the same but Brown and Grey are replaced with White and Grey.

Fourth is Sgt. Birmingham and indeed the rest of your squad, but Birmingham in particular. I hate them. They yell the shittiest dialog over and over again.

Finally and most importantly is the fact that you cannot go back to Alaska once you are done their. So when you finish, that's it. You need to start a new character to go through it again. Which really sucks if you missed some intel, and combined with complain #2, if you accidentally pass it, that's it. It's fucking gone. No perk for you. You need to play through the damn thing with a game-guide, something I choose not to do since I didn't want any spoilers.

I'm glad I pirated it. Not worth $10, not by a long shot.

Hopefully The Pitt will be better.

wtf kind of DLC bullshit is that? I thought the whole purpose of DLC was to buy it and keep a bunch of extras and have fun side missions to do and places to explore any time you want. Sure you get to keep a couple weapons, but if you have to start a brand new character just to play through Alaska again... Maybe for $5, but certainly not for $10.

I have mods that let me repair weapons/armor with similar weapons/armor. I have a mod that adds unique weapons that were cut from the game back in. I have a mod that increases that effects of crippling. A mod that let's me continue with a character after I finished the main quest. I have a mod that lets me increase then level cap to 30 (or even 40). I have a mod that decreases the rate shit degrades.

Still happy with your console version?

Yep, not one single crash.

I probably would've gone for the PC version if my computer was more stable...but it's not.

Bethesda's already talking about Fallout 4

http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/01/ … fallout-4/

Good article though.

As part of an e-mail interview with “Fallout 3″ executive producer Todd Howard, we asked him what he’s learned from making “Fallout 3″ that will carry into “Fallout 4.” His answer was short, sweet and told us nothing.

Greatest lesson? Don’t let the game end, and don’t have a level cap,” said Howard.

I really just want some cheats so I don't have to:

-Get to level 20 three fucking times
-Make sure my dumbass followers don't die because they walked infront of my fucking line of fire (I'm looking at you, Sydney or whatever the fuck her name was)
