Btw, on PSN you can download and watch on HD all the E3 trailers including LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Motorsotrm: Pacific Rift, GOW3, Resident Evil 5, Fallout 3, and more games...

Yes, and I told him to wait just in case they announced a new PS3 or a price cut. And they did. You told him to buy his PS3 on Sunday. Which would have been the dumbest move he could have done.

I think dumbest move is a bit steep. Its a very slightly bigger HD, nothing big tbh, if I was kptk and i wanted a PS3 I wouldn't wait 2 months just for a slightly large HD considering the PS3 has regular HD's you can just plug and play at anytime.

Very true.  I bought the 80GB MGS4 bundle for 500 bucks and now they'll sell the 80GB PS3 for 400, so what?

Now you are out $100? For broke people without jobs that is alot of money

He'd be playing Grid or BF:BC, that doesn't sound dumb IMO.  Dumb is to wait more than two months just for a price cut.

...and he already has a 360 to play those on? It's not like he's without a gaming system and would be waiting 2 months more without games.

500 that´s so cheap! the cheapest i could come around for a 40gb and MGS would be around 700

Poseidon, how much does a 80gb HD cost? £10 max. 40-80gb in terms of storage space is nothing. If it was 40-160 I would be impressed, its not, its a 40gb increase which quiet simply isn't worth a 2 month wait, especially seeing as the price will probably drop again for Christmas meaning he could wait up to 4 months. In that time you can earn the money you save 10 times over even on a part time teenager job.

If 80gb is so great he could go buy on for £10 and then he doesn't need to wait 2 months.

Maybe over there, but over here, 80 gig HDDs cost around 60-70 dollars.

For a 7200 RPM drive, it's 80-90 bucks. And since ideally 7200 RPM is ideal, you'd normally go for that.
