So recently I discovered AutoHotkey and got into scripting with it. CodBackup is my latest success.

  • Customizable timestamps on backup directories
  • Support for non-default program directory
  • Recovery utility for recovering backups

Download the compiled .exe here (200kb).
or
Download the source .ahk here (7kb). You can use this instead of the .exe if you have AHK installed.

Get it, use it, tell me what you think. I'm open to suggestions and I do plan to release updates.

It sounds good but I want something where it can be stored pm some master database so if my computer fails I can still get my profile rather than losing it with the whole computer.

Can it remember the paths that one inputs, cause, I'm on vista, and CoD4 Profile folder is hidden far away in

C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData(hidden folder)\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players

And, no, Program files is not where everything is, its Program files within documents......

Why must vista make everything so hard.....

Yes, the first time you run it, it creates a prefs.cfg file with your preferences, so the next time you can just hit the backup button and not worry about it.

I didn't do it, Cod4 installer put it there without me changing or setting it to go there..... Its just where CoD4 puts Player data in vista i guess.
