What part of Florida were you in? We would have been in Tampa.
Daytona is a long way away from Tampa. Sebring would have made a good day trip though. I know Ohio is a big state surrounded by big states so you probably wouldn't get how intimidating the size and distances of Florida is for a person from the tiny state of NJ. Just visiting Pennsylvania feels like the Oregon trail.
I used to do that years back. Never again. My dream is to not need to own a car. If I could get a device installed on my car that charges me insurance based on mile traveled I would.
I saw this on reddit. Some guy's 8 year project. Can you spot what is wrong with it?
I like the color. The carbon fiber is awful. Literally ruins the whole thing.
mm those riveted fender flares look like garbage too. I'm not a fan of ground kits on cars in general either.
I haven't worked on a car in 5 years but seeing that above makes me want to work on a project car (waste money).
I would very much like to restore (waste money) my dream car a 3000 GT. They are nightmarish to work on and I am a shut in anyway but it would look very nice in the driveway under a cover.

I'm gonna get an old VW bus and restore it. One day before I die. I should probably buy it soon since the version I want keeps going up in price, but im not ready to have a project car yet.
You plan to build a mystery machine?
The mystery machine was not a VW.
My dad used to have a few VW buses that he would drop Porsche engines into. He'd inevitably blow through a few clutches, but I always liked the designs and I think it would be a fun project car. I want the version with safari windows, but who knows if I'll ever pull the trigger on something like that.

What you mean is pour money and time into sourcing and restoring your dream car so you can eventually proudly give it to a nephew who will stack it into a tree.SuperJail Warden wrote:

I have no wish to fix up an old car.
I watch car shows occasionally, thats a market the bottom is going to fall out of at some point when no-one alive gives a fuck which is actually quite soon.
Some time ago it reached the point that all the good cars were gone and people are now scraping around looking for dull, mediocre cars to restore 'because classic cars'.
That said I would buy my dream Impreza if I had money to burn, if only to complement my Tamiya one
I'd sticker it up and everything. They're already pretty well unobtainable.

I was walking around the neighborhood with my brother a couple months ago reminiscing about old times, and we realized my neighbor a few houses down has an R32:
lol
They made an electric hummer. Super ugly.
They should have just stuck an electric engine in the original body.
I saw a military Humvee being used in my neighborhood as a utility vehicle the other day.

I mean no matter which you get it's still a Humvee with all the baggage that entails.
Probably sucks to drive in cities, and highways. Too big.
That's my, HelLA
