BF2S Forums fix shotgun range pl0x

Semi-auto shotty + stopping power = ownage. Throw in martyrdom for true hilarity.

I haven't found any problems with the shotguns, though the pump-action is a bit slow in its... well pumping. Double-tap helps that, but the auto-shotty is the best IMO. Just use a pistol for any mid-range stuff. (As a matter of fact, I out-sniped a sniper with a pistol the other night).


EDIT: Also, attachments are completely useless. Grip is worthless on a shotgun and RDS are you kidding???

If they gave it more range it would be too overpowered and too many people would whore it and the game would suck.

Damage does drop over distance.

Shotgun damage decreases over distance rapidly reaching 0 damage after reaching certain distance.

Pistols and SMGs bullets do travel really far, but the damage is significantly reduced.

Also, I do believe there is a minimum damage for most guns, which means that the damage does not decrease after certain point no matter how far it travels.
