Thanks, right now I'm trying to make a Hypnotoad, but I can't seem to get it quite rig...ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.

Edit: In case anybody hasn't read the Readme here are a bunch of advanced controls. I especially like the stuff about arms.

Editor Controls

- You can use the mouse wheel to adjust the size of all parts of your creature, to adjust the body size click on the spine, mouse over a vertebrae and move the mouse wheel, it works the same for hands, feet, eyes and so on.

- Holding ALT and Left Clicking and dragging a limb copies it.

- By holding CTRL and clicking on a limb between two joints you can remove that section of the limb, so for example if you CTRL+Left Click between the wrist and elbow of an arm you can remove that part of the arm leaving you with an arm that ends at the elbow. Simply click and drag in the same way you remove limbs normally.

- Also by holding CTRL you can Left Click and drag new limbs and attach them to joints on limbs, so you can attach legs to elbows and arms to knees.

- Hover the mouse over or click on hands, feet, weapons etc. and hold the TAB key to get extra controls, mostly you get extra rotational controls allowing your to rotate parts in ways you normally couldn't.

Experimenting with the advanced Ctrl-using arm+leg controls.

It has a very strange way of walking. The whole thing wobbles and expands. N stuff.





Here's another .




That is the first creature i've made that has good walking with more than 2 legs. All 3 pairs move indivdually. In a flowing manner. Instead of all at once. It looks far better.

After awhile of making sad-looking jelly beans and other inefficient creatures for fun, I decided to see if I could do something a bit more serious:


It's a bit hard to see from here, but the body profile looks like a bizarre sort of chinese dragon. Claw placement is a bit random and haphazard, and the center arms tend to get entangled in the front legs. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but it ended up being some sort of creature that would get on well hunting for food both on land and in the water.


A haphazard attempt at a centaur rendered something a bit more alien. The spine rigging left one extra 'vertebrae' on the top of the 'skull,' which resulted in some unwanted jiggling, but was unavoidable if I wanted it to look like it had a brain behind that face. If anything, this game needs some stiffness controls for flesh.

The way it moves reminds me of a strange koala-faced spotted otter with hooves. Cheerful goatee'd bastard. Only glitch is that when it sits, part of the hind legs disappear into the mesh...but it's the demo.

The game isn't out till september.

This is just the creature creator bit.


Basically in the proper game you start as a microbe type thing. Then you keep evolving adding more parts till you become a proper creature. You can then try and survive and get a mate, make some babies etc. Now you can start a tribe.
You will be able to edit things like tents and stuff for your tribe the same way.

As your tribe becomes bigger you eventually expand to a city. Where you can build biuldings, cars etc all customizable in a way unique to you. You can then conquer your whole world by wiping out other cities.

Once you are far enough in the game you make a space ship (of course customizable) where you can head over to other planets and make them livable or find planets that you can already live on with other creatures. There are hundreds of different galaxies with thousands of planets. The game is limitless only to your imagination.

Anyone had the bug while painting if you talk to someone on steamchat and it copies the colour scheme of the chat to the creature?
