Nice. How is the Atom doing?
Haven't really stressed it yet. It does run 1080p vids smoothly, saw someone playing cod2 and FEAR on it. I was amazed when I read Atom is passively cooled.
Atom cpu...the only thing I wish my mininote had
Atoms are a bit overrated right now. The clock-per-clock performance is nothing short of pathetic. They're better for PDAs and such, for which they were actually designed. 2-5W CPUs aren't really neccesary in sub-notebooks, as they have plenty of other power-eating things. A 10-15W CPU would be optimal, really. With some cleverness, it could be passively cooled, too.

That still doesn't change the fact that Atoms are cool as fuck.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

It wasn't an expensive upgrade for me. The G92s are cheap these days. It does rape at fah - 20k ppd
any reason why you didn't just get 4 256MB or 512MB 8800GTs though?  I mean, why 1 512 and 3 256MB?
I want to do some gaming too. The 256MB version doesn't deliver enough performance at higher resolutions. The 265MB version is a lot cheaper and just as good at fah, so no point to get the 512MB version for that.
ahh, games

I didn't buy, but I found a working wireless router in my room. I had no idea I even had that thing. I remember getting it, but losing the PSU, then forgetting about it. I found the PSU in a box of 230V to X power supplies, along with it in the box beside.

It's awesome to have WLAN, and finally dump the Ethernet cable for my laptop.

Received my Windows-laptop today: A Sony Vaio CR-series laptop for University. Wanted a Windows laptop as well as the Macbook because I've been having a few issues with program compatibility this summer and don't want any unnecessary hassle when I'm studying and need ultra-functionality.

Anyway, it's a rather stylish and sexy laptop- pearly white with a nice gloss/varnish, very neat keyboard and a modest 14.1" monitor size.

Specs are something rather unimpressive like; 2.2Ghz dual-core, 3Gb RAM, ATI x2-series card, 160Gb HD, Blu-Ray disc drive.

It does the job for a glorified notepad!
